Well, it's officially official!!

We are joining TEAM BLUE! We had our 20 week Ultrasound yesterday (Level II) and its undenyable! You are a boy! We are so happy, Mommy knew since day 1 and while everyone else said girl, I knew it all along! :)

Everything looks great, you are measuring perfectly against your due date of May 4th, 2010! At 20 weeks, I have gained 2 lbs since pre-pregnancy which is good!

Daddy is excited, so are your Grandparents and Nana, your Aunties and your Uncles! I really hope the next 20 weeks fly, I cant wait to nibble your little feets!

18 week development

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

Your baby is as big as a bell pepper and weighs almost 7 ounces.

18 weeks 1 days and I am a terrible Mama!

I cannot believe that I haven't posted since October 8th, I guess it was a hectic fall.  We are already (almost) at the halfway mark, where has the time gone?!

I am going to try to catch up on the last 7 weeks in one post.

Lets see, at 12 weeks, we had our NT or Ultrascreen which looks for markers for defects/downs etc and everything was 100% normal, you were a perfect little peanut with a HR of 164.  We also got to see you via sonogram, the first time since our 7 week appointment and it was amazing how you had changed from blob to baby.

With all the hysteria over the swine flu, I got the H1N1 vaccine, along with the regular flu vaccine and so far so good, no side effects from either!!

At about 12-15 weeks, I really started to show (hard to see with loose clothes) but I could see the difference and Daddy could too!

At 16 weeks, we saw the doctor again, you were looking perfect yet again.  HR of 147!  At this appointment, we scheduled our Level II or anatomy scan which will be on 12/16 ... two weeks from today.  At this appointment, we will have a detailed sonogram of all your bits and pieces.  We cant wait to see you again, we cant wait to find out if you are a Jack or a Grace...

OH YES, names!  We decided on Grace Elisabeth if you are pink and Jack Joseph if you areblue!  (I am still trying to convince Daddy to name you Grace Johanna or Grace Amelie if you are a girl!!)

At 16 weeks, I began to feel the earliest, tiny little flutters and now at 18 weeks, I can feel movement everyday.  You have even been kind enough to gift me with a few solid (still little) kicks both yesterday and today.  I guess its time to prepare for movement all day everyday (yay!!!)

KATE is having a Logan :)  We found out about 2 weeks ago and your due date was moved up to 5/4/10 so now you two are due less than a week apart, 6 days to be exact.  You can thank us later for planning so well, having you so close in age ha!

At 18 weeks, I haven't gained any weight (yet) which I am happy about, you are growing and developing perfectly and that's all that really matters (but lets try to keep it to 12 lbs huh?  please and thanks!)

Sophie is getting big, 11 weeks now, more precious with every passing day!

10 WEEKS!

We are just about 10 weeks pregnant and things are going well!  Mommy just starting taking medication via injections for clotting issues which run in the family.  Nothing serious we hope, just a preventative measure to ensure no clotting in the placenta, umbilical cord or in you and me!

Our NT or Ultrascreen is scheduled for 10/21 and we will be just about 12 weeks at that point.  This test (blood work and a detailed ultrasound) will detect any abnormalities.  We are hopeful and confident that all will go perfectly well!   The weeks are starting to fly by now!  Still no real baby belly, lots of bloat and perhaps, the beginning of something starting to brew :)

Here is what you look like at 10 weeks!  In the next few weeks, you will go through a growth spurt!  We can't wait until we can feel you kicks in a few months!

8w2d today!

Here is what you look like at 8w2d give or take! Things are good. Mama is starting to notice that her pants are feeling a little tight in the waist! Tomorrow we will meet with the Periontologist (high risk OB) to talk about clotting issues which run in the family. I hope all is well but I fully expect to learn that we will need Lovenox injections like Auntie Val did for Sophia.
